Barbecues have can be brilliant – and here are some recommendations courtesy of the Daily Mail….
Waitrose Chimichurri Spatchcock Chicken
Chimichurri is a green sauce made from finely chopped herbs in oil and vinegar served with steak but used here as a marinade to make this whole, flattened chicken tasty and tender (below left).
M&S Chilli Cheese Posh Dogs
£4.50 for 540g
Posh Dogs — huge, meaty sausages inspired by a product development trip to Chicago — were the biggest seller of last year for M&S, so they have made a new version, (above right) for this year, packed with cheese and chilli, that are even more addictive. Try them in one of their brioche buns.
Morrisons Lamb and Mint Shish Kebabs
5 x 60g pack £4 or three for £10
Brooklyn Brine Company Pickles
Made by hand by a brilliant artisan producer in New York, these pickles consist of cucumber slices in a brine spiked with maple syrup, bourbon and plenty of spice.
ASDA Bourbon BBQ Sauce
Sweet and smokey with a hint of bourbon, brush the sauce, (below left) over your meat for the last ten minutes of cooking, or spread it over your burger instead of ketchup.
M&S Edgy Veggie Burger
£3.50 for 240g
These are by far the best vegetarian burgers I’ve ever tasted — they’re made from lentils, mushrooms, caramelised onions and beetroot. The burgers, (pictured right) are so popular M&S is going to double production for next year — they’re selling fast so make sure you grab ’em while you can!
Tesco Landmann Grand Tennessee Smoker
Was £350, now £245
