Noel Edmonds is furious over a report saying he is moving to New Zealand after being upset by Britain’s reaction to his performance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The presenter, aged 70, was first to be voted out of the reality show but still got a hefty £600,000 for his eight days in the show.
The Sun On Sunday said Noel was so “crushed” by his early exit, he put his UK home for sale and is planning to move to New Zealand.
But Noel raged on twitter: “Apparently I’m so crushed following my experience on I’m A Celebrity I’m putting my house on the market and skulking off to New Zealand.
“It’s a matter of record that I had a fabulous time, the production were wonderful, the reaction of the British public coming out to me were truly humbling and I’m really grateful for that reaction.
“I’ve been offered all kinds of opportunities that I’m now looking into.”
He says his £2.65 million home near Bristol had already been sold, having been put on the market several years ago.
